Official Kaleidoscope Turtle

How about something adorable?! That's right! It's time to share my amazingly cute and adorable turtle! I had been working on this little guy for awhile and when I finally got him done I couldn't wait to share him so I posted pictures on Instagram and Facebook which received some very awesome feedback! I'm hoping that my tutorial will receive that same feedback, lol! It's the first time that I have made a figure and recorded how to do it, so I'm hoping that it comes out alright!

I hope you enjoy this little guy! I may make a one loom version if there is enough demand for one.

Enjoy!

  1. I love love love this turtle. I finished him off a little diffrent though. At the very end you pull the band into his shell to hide it.....I just stuck his head back threw..... Chocking him one more time. Lol

    1. I'm so glad you like him! He definitely is adorable and unique! That's a good way to close too. On my very first one, I did some crazy banding to hide the connection and I loved it, but it would have been way too complicated to show how to do it.

  2. I made two of these adorable little turtles, named them Tony and Tasha Turtle. Took them to my Stampin' Up monthly stamping night and my friend, who has a huge turtle (he started out as one of those little green turtles like you used to be able to win at a fair), fell in love with them. She bought them from me on the spot. They weren't really for sale, I loved them so much, and she made sure I could make some more before she offered to buy them. Now, her turtle, Chomper (his shell is now 6" front to back!), has Tony and Tasha Turtle to keep him company, LOL. They sit next to his 45-gallon tank. Anyway, I emailed Rainbow Loom, sent a photo of my broken hook and simply told them "Your metal hook can't be available soon enough! LOL." They asked when I bought my kits (February 7th) and they are sending me a replacement hook! I'm still waiting for the metal hooks and will buy one of them when available.

    1. Awesome! Not a bad deal at all, make adorable little turtles and makes some cash to make some more AND get a new hook! Can't beat that. I wish some of my hooks would have broke in time to use the warranty, but it was like they all waited until it was past and then broke around the same time. Oh well, have to get the metal hook and see how that works. :)
